It looks like normal school with masks and it’s what will happen. I’ve said this for months and someone always comes back with “they’ll take it from us! You don’t know this!” But as you can see full hybrid is happening everywhere right now with no hiccups or take backs.

16+ will have vaccines available by May. High School is typically 14-18.

I understand about availability by age. What I’m referring to is people’s reluctance to have their children vaccinated with something new (look how much hesitancy there was/still is for the HPV shots).

Under 12 not likely until 2022. I think school will be normal capacity but with masks. The difference will be that our area will have a high vaccination rate and rates will plummet. It will still be around so yes on masks. The governor is likely to sign a bill this week manadatong five day a week in-person be offered. And with a real live person, none of this virtual teacher with kids in class nonsense.

I think by the fall we won’t be attempting the 6’ social distancing anymore. Masks maybe.

At our school (in APS), about half of the students chose to stay home. To accommodate the half that wanted to return, the entire school is at pandemic level capacity (meaning can't fit any more students AND maintain safeguards), and hybrid students are only in school 2 days a week. If the half that are still distance learning wanted to be in person this fall, there would not be room. You would literally need an entire new school building, which of course isn't going to happen. Or, kids can only be in school in person 1 day a week. Is that the best case scenario for the fall? At this point ES kids won't have been vaccinated, so I guess I'm assuming the current safe guards will continue to be necessary until there is a vaccine.
