Where can I find a list of community-based options? I have googled...

If bilingual is that important to you, I would apply for all the bilingual charters and consider moving closer if you get in to one of them that you like (and consider moving IB for a bilingual DCPS before K if you don't). You could also do more of the bilingual community-based preschool.

If bilingual is not that important to you and your goal is to be at Hearst for PK4 or K, then I wouldn't bother with Marie Reed and Bancroft. What's the point of a year or two of bilingual school, which can be stressful and harder, if your kid loses it all by age 5 or 6?

Unless tons of families moved out this year (which is def. possible given the pandemic) it's unlikely. Last year at least 10 in-bound kids didn't get in to Garrison PK3.

I know, but they made 16 offers total, so everyone would have had the opportunity plus then some OOB kids too.

Our inbound is Hearst.

I feel like I may be crucified by other posters here for even asking, but here goes: I am looking at the lottery for PK3. I live west of Rock Creek Park. Is there even a snowball's chance in hell of getting a spot in any of the following schools:

Marie Reed (English Dominant)
Bancroft (English Dominant)
Stevens Early Learning Center
SWW @ Francis Stevens

Is there anywhere else I should consider that is not too far east? In theory, I work by the White House.

Thank you!
