If you have four in car seats you really need a Yukon or Suburban or Expedition as most 3rd row SUV's have very small back seats. Otherwise you can get much smaller car seats but if you get a bench vs. captain seats it will be hard to strap them all in. You can sometimes find them through the car rental sales at a better price, but not always. If you look at car max do ask for the vehicle history as most come from the car rental places so you might as well go there directly.

My Acura MDX fits 3 Clek seats and a booster in the back. It’s backless though, not sure if that makes a difference for you.

We had triplets when our DD was 2 and found that the only car that was easy to work with when the babies were in the infant buckets was a minivan. Once they could crawl into the backseat to get buckled, DH’s Pilot worked great and I would assume any SUV would be the same way. But it’s the need to lift those heavy bucket seats into the back that makes the minivan kind of necessary, in my opinion.
If you’re not dealing with THAT close of an age difference, so like if two toddlers could climb in the back while infant twins go in the middle, an SUV— any SUV— would fit.

Anything with 3 rows and captain's chairs in the second row should work. Look at the Pilot and Ascent.
I admit I am super curious about how this situation comes up. Blended family? Two sets of twins? Very small children who can't move to a booster?

We are in the same boat. Personally, I want a second minivan but my husband is reluctant. Check out the Santa Fe, Atlas, and Mazda CX-9. The explorer and pilot will work too.
Of those, I’m leaning towards the Santa Fe because it has captan seats in the second row so easier access to the third row. I’m worried installing car seats on bench seats in the second row will make it hard for the kids to get to the third row and even harder for us parents to strap the third row kids in their car seats.
I welcome any suggestions and feedback!

There is a Subaru car that has a 3rd tow. Not sure if the name of it though, I only know because my friend has one. I have no idea how easy access to 3rd row is. Another friend of mine has a Chev suv that has a 3rd row and the middle row has captain seats so access to 3rd row is easy enough.

What car will fit four car seats and make access to the third row easy? We already have a minivan and like it, but need a car for my husband also. He prefers not to drive a minivan, but if that’s really our only choice will do it. We are kind of all over the place with the price range. We’ve looked at the Yukon and the Kia Telluride online.
