Some of it also depends on why you are high risk. I had a great experience being checked up on by MFM at VHC while still working with a midwife for my main prenatal care and delivery.

I loved my mfm Dr Sheri Hammersley. She is in MD though, not DC. She was outstanding, and very responsive to my emails when I was anxious about things.

I was told I need to see someone as I am a high risk candidate for pregnancy. Anyone have good recs for a maternal fetal medicine doc (or even better, nurse practioner)? DC preferred but will go to MD or VA if they're the best! WOman also preferred. Thanks!
