Most are last name based (A-L, M-Z) but a few kids have switched (in both directions). Not worried about the space for the top half, they still have 6 ft distance. But feel bad for the kids who have so few in their classes (although maybe it is fine for them plus they do get the extra safety and much less of a chance to be put on a pause/quarantine)....

I told him I thought it would get better with time. My elementary kid was thrilled to be going, but did say it was hard to feel normal with masks.
I'm very excited that the kids are back in, even half time.
I am hopeful that by fall, deaths and hospitalizations will be so low that the schools will be open to all kids five days a week because we won't need to maintain 6 feet of distancing. I'm hoping that those that want to be virtual will be enrolled in virtual Virginia rather than FCCPS schools, or perhaps isolated in one virtual-only class per grade, so that teachers do not have to figure out how to teach to a classroom and to kids online at the same time.
I'm eager for the kids to lose the masks at some point too. I would hope that when deaths and hospitalizations fall very low, we can do that even without kids being vaccinated.
We are thrilled to be back too. I am hopeful that we will open to 5 days a week before Fall. I am hoping that they go to virtual only classes, and jettison concurrent.
I am NOT eager to lose masks. I will fight really hard against that.
