Here’s a hint op....there are 4 ECNL and 3 GA in NOVA. It literally became a battle ground. Do you know why? Talent and money. Lots of talent and money.

This is a big time region for girls soccer.

The talent is the same. There are only about 35-50 kids in NOVA in any given year who are Power 5 level players. Of those, there are 1-5 that are top twenty school caliber. 4 ECNL clubs will not increase that number.

Some Talent, LOTS of money and who you know. Trust me, that last one plays a huge part. Money and WHO YOU KNOW.

Because 9.56 percent of girls don’t care about pro. Those that do already know they will.

You can say I’m not shocked. Not sure what you thought a top female soccer program looked like. Their rosters are full, top to bottom, with the same type of kids. So much so that really really good players sit the bench. Let that sink in.

The best programs get first dibs at YNT players. Half of the U20 YNT is on UVA.

If the goal is penn state, it’s a good reminder that’s really not going to happen. It means zero if the goal is NESSAC or even ivy

Power 5 is solid. Teams rotate in and out of top rankings. A good number of kids in the area are capable of playing at that level, plus Ivy.

So lots of talk on here about college placement because of what club and league your daughter plays in. This is what Penn State’s in coming class looks like on paper. It is pretty impressive. How many players in the DMV would be in the mix with these players? I think Penn State in ranked 20th right now.

Rostered with U.S. Youth National teams at the U-15 and U-17 levels. Named Conference Player of the Year in 2020 and a 2020 Bimbo High School All-American. Earned first team All-Conference and first team All-District honors in 2020 and second team All-Ohio.
