Both are included on the report. It’s on ParentVue under documents.

Mine is in 5th. Do they take it at beginning of year? Nothing on mid-year report.

My 5th grader only has one from a few weeks ago; no beginning of year report.

must just be middle school

I do not expect APS to be especially forthcoming about this sort of thing and neither score qualifies him for any intervention so I doubt they care. I am hoping he can avoid summer school at this point (and he has excelled academically up until this fall/winter).

This is my 7th grader too - grades and scores dropped 2nd quarter. I think he is over virtual school and taking none of seriously any more.

My 6th grader in extended math dropped slightly this winter. I thought it was odd. Reading score increased.
Her math teacher is super challenging, so it surprised me!

The MI scores are posted for middle school only today.

The scoring norms are not based on current scores; that is they aren’t comparing your kid to another kid who took it at the same time. It’s comparing them to the normed sample which is from a non-pandemic time period.

As long as your child is still in the grade level score range, I wouldn’t be particularly worried. My 8th grader only takes the reading one and I compared his score to last year’s score. His score went down 50 points. He is still above the proficient range but now he’s just above it where before he was way above. I’m not getting too worked up. It’s one data point and overall he is doing well in classes and on tests.

If your child has fallen below time score range of proficiency then I would contact the school for extra intervention.

Same here. My 8th grader's reading and math inventory scores both dropped from start of school to mid-year.

He’s still getting straight As, camera on and fully participates. Granted, he’s above average but seeing the results dropped a little makes me worry how behind so many kids will be and what learning will be like with many kids behind. We are going on one full year of DL March 13th.

Has APS published any data on this?

We have the same scenario! Straight A’s but math inventory dropped from beginning of the school year to mid year. Very strange I thought.

Sorry - lower than inventory at start of school year. Not drastically, but a slight drop.

For both reading & math?
