Well, last week, when I started off by asking if they had any snow, my MIL cut me off and said, “We just want to talk to the girls.” And it occurred to me that they’ve done and said this the whole time; ignore me completely, cut me off, etc. So this week I decided, you want just the girls? You got them. I hand the phone over and hear them say “we can only see the lamp” or “I think you muted it” or “one at a time.” And then when my oldest decides she’s done, they hang up.
Oh well! If they don’t like it, they can schedule calls with their son. I’m done trying to facilitate. They didn’t even say hello to me before. I can’t believe I put up with it that long. I’m free!
