You wear what looks best on you—clothes and hairstyles.

I have a natural cowlick on one side and look best with a side part ..or slightly off center.

Fun fact I recently learned about cowlicks: they can indicate underlying brain anomalies and brain architecture!

Fascinating! And here I thought it just meant I had wonky bangs.

This is according to Gen Z, in their tiktoks mocking millennials with side parts and skinny jeans. As a gen x mom all this is not relevant to me...although I welcome the demise of skinny jeans

I had a cute center part in my 7th grade school picture from 1994, when the 70s were “in.”

Now, 27 years later, I’m too old to care about when gen z thinks!

I’ll keep both for my old xennial self.

I'm also "xennial", and don't think center parts are part of our "generation" at all. Side part all the way.

There were a lot of center parts in the 1990s, so we can plead the “we already did that” defense and keep wearing our hair with the flattering side part.

I can think of one pinheaded blond traitor who wears a center part and that is why I would never do it.

Center parts are really ugly. I always thought they were ugly in pics from the 70s.

It's a nice idea, but in reality everyone's hair has natural places it tends to part, and very few of us have it happen right in the middle. If you want to slather it with product and spend all day making sure you never run your fingers through your hair, have fun with that. But otherwise, the first time you run your fingers through your hair, it's going to revert to its natural part.

Also, if you have a larger forehead, a center part looks terrible.

It’s true! I think it’s great.

I heard this as well. Center parts are difficult to pull off, though, even for the young, so they are just making themselves less attractive.
