Thanks. I didn't mean to imply he doesn't like flowers, just that he hasn't given any indication he's *into* flowers. I could see him thinking it's a nice surprise, but PPs turned me away from that idea! I'm an excellent cook and make great food for us regularly. Thought about making his favorite dessert, which I know he'd appreciate, but wanted to do a little something more.

We've been dating since late summer. Didn't plan to get him anything but he asked me about V day yesterday so now I feel that I should get him something. With less than 24 hours the options are slim, but I also don't want to overthink. He's very low maintenance and has been happy with the simple things I got him in the past.

No, esp if you know he’s not into them. What about a bottle of whiskey or some good beer if he likes to drink?

Why would you get him something he's not into. Get him something he'll like. And stop trying to be so special and not like the other women that he'll pick you, it's desperate and pathetic.

Male here, I would take a bonsai tree (not a typical cypress/evergreen one.

Would it be weird for me to get my newish BF flowers for Valentine's Day? He's very manly and not into flowers at all but they're so lovely and might be a pleasant surprise for him; or not. Can't say for sure whether he's received flowers from a woman before, but I'd lean toward a more masculine bouquet with lots of greenery vs fluffy flowers like garden roses and peonies. Thoughts?
