In our DCPS school all the few teachers that are back got the vaccine. Some teachers that aren’t back got also the vaccine (but not all the teachers)

Almost everyone qualifies for the vaccine. Even those who have food allergies should get it but need to be observed longer by doctor. There are very few circumstances that would qualify for a no-vaccine medical recommendation.

i haven't seen anything about all of dcps teachers getting vaxxed. hope they are.

Ditto. I don't know about all teachers and staff because they aren't making much information available but I do know all teachers for my kids classrooms were vaccinated (first dose) and the school is bringing back 25% of students for 2 days a week starting March 15th. I am hoping they decided on something more robust given the vaccines but they've been very slow to roll out anything and seem to not want to at all.

The guidelines for getting the vaccine stated we had to be in person by end of February, so even if we weren’t in person when we got the vaccine it’s okay.

I think there's some coordination between charter administrators and DC Health so that the teachers that said they'd go back could go get vaccines, and the ones who said they weren't going back could get them later (under the regular schedule).

Can we expect teachers at charters opening this spring will be able to vaccinate their teachers before re-opening? This "we're only vaccinating those already in person" seems wrong. Don't we want teachers vaccinated before they go back?
