What’s a Tile in this context?

My 17 yo DS uses a small lanyard. Not the long one that goes around your neck, but shorter one that’s just long enough so he doesn’t lose (hopefully!) his single car key. It’s his favourite NCAA sports team.

One modest key chain is what my teen son has. It's from his high school but I've seen his friends have sports team ones or whatever they are into.

My son is a new driver and I’d like to get him a keychain as a fun gift. Do teens use those lanyard things for their keys, or a small minimalist one, or something else I am not thinking of? My husband likes his key ring the smaller the better and I have a huge key ring with charms, etc.
