When I look at the PPE nurses have access to and compare it to the PPE teachers have access to, and consider that covid is asymptomatic, I don't understand how the nurse can even say that.

Also, PP nurse, your kids' teachers have assumed far less risk than you have, until you placed yourself 1 degree of separation away from them every day. Nice.

My four year old has loved it so far. She didn't have a lot of structured school experiences before prek4 so she's fine with social distancing and other safety measures.

My PK3er is SO happy. On the one hand, I expected the conditions to be hardest for the youngest students (no shared centers, only 4 on the carpet/out of their chairs at a time/etc); on the other, he has no prior experience at school to compare it to. He was actually OK with his 1.5 hour virtual class compared to what I’ve heard from others, but he loves school now and there is so much more of it! They get to the playground twice/day, are basically never on devices (specials are via the smart screen at the front of the room)... and he just loves it so much. I seriously couldn’t be happier.

My second grader is having a great experience even with all the mitigation and distancing in place. Seriously, she is happy to go in the moring and happy all afternoon after I pick her up. It has made such a difference in her enthusiasm for learning. I am also impressed how little they are using their laptops, seems like its just for specials so far.

I feel like the excitement will wear off eventually, but yeah. They are thrilled to be with friends and doing some semblance of real school.

We might get a slot soon but were wondering if the kids actually like the socially distanced environment. This is so different than their pre-Covid school experience, i wonder if it adds anything.
