There will be a line of people waiting to buy your house.

Anonymous wrote:Another Hill resident here. I'm not sure what criteria they use to report crimes on MPD twitter or via other alerts, but it is never complete. I've heard more on NextDoor or via conversation with my neighbors. MPD is also known for juking the stats and downgrading things whenever they can (a priest was knocked unconscious last summer on the Sousa Bridge, but they wouldn't term it assault because he couldn't recall how he ended up unconscious with a black eye). There was a woman brutally assaulted on 4th SE a few years ago (left unconscious after a slugging), and it didn't even make the Twitter. That was a wakeup call to me that really bad stuff is going on in my backyard, and I have no way of knowing. Allen is not only useless- he is dangerous in what he advocates and gets approved. I'm leaving the Hill after nearly 18 years this month.

Just on our block recently there were two muggings at gun point on separate days. We only found out about one because the officers were looking for video footage from our block.
The crime increase in Ward 6 specifically Cap Hill/Hill East/Eastern Market has gotten bad. Almost daily we hear of car jackings, muggings at gun point, random theft etc etc.
City leadership seems to look the other way. Specifically Charles Allen is so soft on crime and would rather spend his time virtue signaling as opposed to helping to create policies to keep the criminals behind bars and the streets safer.
Which block do you live on where these two muggings occurred? Another Cap Hill resident.
