I feel like I am fetishized and exoticized. But any celebration of my true beauty me would have to recognize my humanity and personhood, and that largely has not happened within our racist society.

I’m Iranian-American. Yes, I get attention from men of all races and ethnicities.

Another Indian American here, but I am the fair, tall variety so have received plenty of attention. I look better than majority white women out there and have been treated very well. So, I guess our experiences are going to be as diverse as our looks.

Not by the media or society in general, but some people are attracted by my multi-ethnic look. They're curious and think it's cute.

As a minority, you pretty much have to be model beautiful for people to find you attractive. For a white woman, being not overweight and slightly above average is enough to be beautiful and get advantages for your looks.

I'm Indian/American and have been complimented but it's usually something kinda backhanded like, "exotic" or "you're pretty for an Indian".

I look ethnically ambiguous at times and there is always a look of surprise when they ask me where I originate from and it's not a good look of surprise. This comes from all different races, not just white.

I'm so sorry, OP. I'm Indian, and I will say I think it can range. I have been complimented in both the south and DC, but it was when I looked semi-decent unlike now during the pandemic when I always look a mess and am wearing a mask. I have also always been very smiley. Where do you live?
