It’s not a dark line. The like has a bit of pink color but it’s definitely lighter than control. I have been able to test with FMU since Tuesday and I do that in addition to the other tests so I can at least see what the FMU looks like and it basically looks the same to me for the FMU. I know it’s early at this point so I’ll just continue to test and see what happens. I feel super tired, sore breasts and some mild cramps but I’m also on progesterone now and I assume that is why.

How dark is the line, OP? Stop testing multiple times a day and only test with FMU. Your urine NEEDS to be at the same concentration to know if the line is getting darker or lighter. A trigger should be getting lighter, and a true positive should be getting darker. But since you did ovulation induction not IVF, you're probably only 8-9 DPO or so (assuming you ovulate 24-36 hours after trigger) which is still early to get a solid positive. But really if you're not comparing FMU to FMU, there's no way to know what's what at this point.

This is OP. I’ve started testing since Monday when I received the strips. The second line is still there. It generally looks the same. The first day it was darker one of the times I tested but since then it’s looked similar each time (I’m kind of crazy and have tested a couple times each day). I’m now 10 days after the trigger (ovidrel). I’ll keep going.

Same. I always get my positives 9DPO - 10 at the latest. Anything after that is not gonna work out (for me). So it's good to know.

I had recurrent pregnancy loss on top of infertility, so knowing when I tested positive helped me prepare mentally. Late implantations were always losses, so I knew not to get my hopes up if I had negatives at 9-10 DPT, then a positive later. You do you, but it helped me.

do it the night before you go in for bloodwork.

My trigger is always out by 5-6dpo which is 7-8 days post trigger. I’ve gotten my positives 9-10dpo.

I did this and don’t remember exactly how long it took to test out, but the line gradually got lighter until it seemed to be gone, then gradually got darker as it showed positive. I would just start testing as soon as you get them, date them and see if there’s any change. If it’s there when you first start it may still be trigger so keep testing to see what happens to the color. Fingers crossed for you!

Thanks. I actually didn’t do IVF, just ovulation induction. I will plan to start testing as soon as I get the strips. I don’t “feel” pregnant but of course it’s o my been a few days.

One week should usually be enough for the trigger to be gone. You can see positives as early as 4dp5dt depending on how strong the HCG is but by day 7 or later it should be a true result. You can wait a couple more days before testing to be sure, if possible.

Everyone is different but honestly my trigger was always gone 5-7 days after. You wont see a true positive 7 days post trigger - is that transfer day? - just start testing when you get the strips, you wouldnt expect a positive till 5 days post 5 day transfer at the earliest so as along aa you test a few days before then 3dp5dt and see a negative you know its real

I would like to take a pregnancy test before I go in for bloodwork, which won’t be until 2.5 weeks after I took the trigger shot. Since it seems the trigger shot could cause a false positive, when would I start testing to see it go negative and then positive again. FWIW, I ordered the cheap test strips but they won’t arrive until about a week after the trigger. Is that too late to start testing? If it’s really positive will I even see a negative?
