Or if you have some clothes you want to get rid of, you can fashion them in to dog clothes. You can cut out a hole for tail, etc. Trust me on this. Dogs would rather wear a recovery suit (which will also keep them warm) than a cone.

I just remember when we spayed our dog, the collar didn't even work and she bit through her stitches, we had to bring her back to the vet, and get her a really wide cone she couldn't reach around. Our kitten is only 5 1/2 months old but she's pretty big (long) for a kitten.
