I don’t agree with Kirk Cameron on everything but being a deep man of faith and by all accounts good father and husband does not make him a messed up person. You may not be a devout Christian but he is and he should not be demonized for his faith.

I always liked those Creel triplets. Had no idea it was Tori who introduced him to religion. Interesting.

His mom started taking him to auditions at age 9. It doesn't shock me that, after being a child actor for years and still being young and impressionable as a teenager, he was drawn to a conservative religious movement. It probably seemed like a refuge from a lot of stuff that he was being exposed to and maybe not ready for. I wouldn't be surprised, given all the stuff coming out these days, if he was subjected to inappropriate advances as a boy or worse. Anyway, I don't like who he's become, but I think I can understand why that path seemed appealing to him at 17 or 18 or whatever.

He also organized several Covid spreader events in the name of religion.

I clicked on one of those Facebook fact about 1980s sitcom things.... so Kirk became a born again Christian and was very difficult to work with from that point on. I vaguely knew that. So then I googled it because I couldn’t sleep. He became a born again Christian when he went to church with one of his girlfriends families when they were 17 or 18. So the girlfriend was tori from saved by the bell! Who is a triplet and was in a bunch of Disney parent trap movies about triplets in the 1980s. Her family was very Christian. Anyway. Now she is a lesbian and married to a jewish woman and they have 2 kids and she still identifies as Christian. By the looks of her Instagram her family accepts her, though her super Christian parents have since divorced. One of the other triplets is married to the cartoonist who invented Deadpool. The other is a divorced actress who downsized during the pandemic from a huge mansion in pacific palisades to a much more modest home. Anyway. I was fascinated and wanted to share.
