There is a reason those people aren’t listing policy objections. They have none. Now, I know a bunch of sedition-supporting liars will scream a bunch of blather but it’s all lies and nothing but.

This. They don't actually have any policy issues to discuss that are based in reality. They are just mindlessly repeating what they hear in right-wing media.

???
1. Energy independence.
Biden just put tens of thousands of people out of work with the EO on Keystone. The EO on oil drilling and fracking on public lands will put even more people out of work--not to mention reducing the tax base of western states. There is nothing wrong with investing in Greenn Energy, but we are not there yet. We need more oil spills because the other scrubbers need jobs.
2. Low taxes--Dems are all for raising taxes--that destroys jobs. Lower taxes create more jobs. It did at first when we did it in the 60’s, but we are now at a point where higher taxes would create more jobs if spent on infrastructure and direct service programs.
3. Free market on minimum wage--Few experienced people are dependent on minimum wage. Raising it will destroy jobs for teens and other unskilled workers. These are people who are not expected to support a family. This is a job killer. If you can’t pay someone a living wage, you do not have a viable sustainable business.
4. Secure borders--Dems want to let everyone in--ironic that during a pandemic we are supposed to let people flow across the border without being turned around. GOP support LEGAL immigration.Democrats do not want to let erveyone in. That is a lie.
5. Law and order--and the GOP does not support what happened at the Capitol. That is a false flag. However, the Dems were awfully quiet on all the violence last summer from "supporters" of BLM. GOP does support the rioters on the Hill or they would have spoken out and demanded justice. The silence is deafening. The violence that occurred at BLM protests was due largely to people outside of BLM. The protests were with BLM supporters were actually quite safe and non-violent.

There is more, but that is enough for now.
Especially, since you seem to think the GOP has no policies.

Low taxes didn’t reduce the deficit the way Republicans bizarrely promised. The debt is out of control; we’re going to leave our children with a destroyed economy. F35s and your mom’s Medicare cost money. If you want those things, pay for them.

1. Immigration - specifically attempting to legalize 11 million people

2. Transgender issues - allowing trans boys/girls to compete based on gender rather than biological sex.

3.This isn't main stream Democratic policy yet but its probably coming. Abolish police - Police don't need to be abolished. They need to be reformed along with the rest of the criminal justice system.

See, this is the part that's confusing.

Documenting immigrants who are already here was a Reagan policy.

The transgender bathroom thing, I'll grant. It seems like a really minor thing to me, but I can kind of see why it feels extreme and scary to someone who doesn't know anyone transgender. I don't agree with those fears, but I can understand them.

I have a really hard time understanding why people think "Abolish Police" will become standard Democratic platform policy if you are paying attention. Can you explain? And I have a particularly hard time understanding why people think this is a bigger "law and order" issue than Republicans not wanting to hold attempted insurrectionists accountable.

Sorry, I couldn’t bring myself to quote that pile of manure. Some people are so clearly divorced from reality that they don’t understand they’ve left reality.

I don’t think the Democratic Party is extreme at all, so I can’t really answer OP’s question. I do think that’s a stupid canard, a place to land for people who grew up in or live in Republican bubbles and who don’t really want to have to put in the minimal research and thinking to really understand policies.

Basically anyone who says “both sides” at this point should maybe sit out a few elections.

I don’t know about extreme, but definitely too binary and tribalistic for my taste. Lacking in any self-criticism or nuanced reflection, succumbing to group think and hysterical mob mentality, blind to corruption and hypocrisy within their own ranks, and willfully so, which is dangerous, even if driven by fear (and could very well end up looking like Trumpism).

Can you provide specific examples that make you think this?

I see Pelosi being re-elected Speaker, despite a lot of Progressives opposing that. (FTR, I actually support Pelosi remaining speaker, but many people I know thought that was weak.) I see a lot of moderation at a time when big policies are justified. But maybe I'm not seeing the same things.

I'm OP. I don't think GOP has no policies. I don't agree with a lot of GOP platform positions, but I know they exist. But very little of what you listed above is new for the Democratic party, and it's pretty hard to take seriously that "higher taxes" is an extreme position. I'm not talking about what are the differences between Republican party and the Democratic party. I'm trying to understand the people who say that they feel the Democrats have become too extreme recently. I just don't see that. By contrast the Republicans are now rallying around a lady who has openly supported murdering Democratic elected officials.

I’ve been told I’m too extreme because I don’t want to unify the country. I’m “out for blood” because I want the impeachment trial to continue and trump and the insurrectionists to suffer consequences. I’m also hypocritical because I didn’t want any consequences for the vile, murderous, riotous, violent, antifa led, liberal, racist, police hating, anti government, socialist riots and takeovers of entire cities this summer, which apparently damaged our country far more than the events of January 6.
