Ask for a full thyroid panel. Thyroid issues are common in pregnancy, and TSH levels can rise quickly early on. I have Hashimotos, and my endocrinologist wanted me in for bloodwork quite literally the day after I got a BFP. My TSH had already jumped up, and I was barely 5w at that point.

I am also so so cold and have chills but no fever! I was just googling this! Im going to ask my doc about a thyroid test, but I have a feeling it’s just my body adjusting to the pregnancy/it’s winter and I’m not moving around much. 7ish weeks, 2nd kid.

I’m six weeks and freezing too! Thermostat at 72 and I’m wearing sweats and a blanket. Even plugged in a space heater. I think it is just the cold weather and drafts in my old house though 😝 If you have chills you may want to check in with a doctor to be sure it is not a virus or infection.

That's weird. Go to the doctor asap.

OP here, I got a covid test last week and take temps daily because of the childcare situation. I have had the chills for a few days with absolutely no other covid like symptoms. I am 5 weeks.

How far along are you, OP? In a non-covid world, my first thought would be to have your thyroid checked ASAP.

“Low thyroid” causes cold intolerance, and pregnancy demands a lot of the thyroid. I know a couple of people who were first diagnosed with hypothyroidism when they were pregnant.

Have you taken your temperature?? That is always how I feel when I have a fever.

Turn the thermostat up to 72-74. It's windy and there's probably a draft in your house.

I'd definitely get a COVID test

Have you literally not been out of your house and not in contact with anyone in the past 2 weeks?

Have you had your thyroid checked?

I am sure it's non-Covid and is just another of those pesky pregnancy side effects. Did anyone else have these? I am home with the thermostat at 70, with multiple layers, and now under a blanket and still feel cold. And I am someone who always would feel hot to this feels so weird.
