True. Which makes me more nervous that the Zoom didn’t go all the way great for my kid.

NPS has a reputation for being warm and nuturing if nothing else, so one person's zoom admission interview might not be the most telling sign.

I think that for K all privates will be very competitive next year, since parents of that age group are rightfully still nervous about possible distance learning and want to secure a spot in a private school.

I somewhat agree but with COVID, I wouldn’t be surprised. Also, I know of kids who have been rejected so I wouldn’t say “safety school”.

I was told K is tough. As a matter of fact, last year one day after the application deadline, I asked could I submit a late application and was told they already had too many and to check back in April to see if they have spots.

I will say I attended their open house this year and they mentioned that are accepting a few extra children this upcoming year for K.

how competitive are admissions at NPS for K compared to other dc privates?
