McLean hosts their own tournaments in the Spring.
Even though they host their own tournament 2 weeks later, at least for the previous 2 years (2019 and 2020), McLean teams have generally participated in the Arlington tournament.
McLean may be cutting back their participation in Asist because if there were any cases of coronavirus at Asist, the quarantines that would follow might jeopardize their ability to staff their own tournament.
That’s not a knock on Arlington, the calculus would be the same for any tournament.
That actually makes a lot sense.
Agreed. Crossing my fingers for the kids playing this the week before Jeff Cup on the boys side. Lots of teams could get knocked out.
No one is forcing those teams to conpeye in both tournaments. They made that choice with full knowledge of the risks.
No kidding. So that means we should not hope it works out for them?
Seems like you are just worried about the Jeff cup.

Correct. They choose to beat up on CCL and NCSL teams rather than play against real competition at VDA Showcase or Jeff Cup.
