Yeah, they can't share anything if they were raised evangelical or conservative christian. Best not to ask.

One of my conservative christian friends has an older brother who moved away and is obviously, at least to me, gay. She is oblivious.

I’m the second responding poster, and my family does this. I hate it. If I want you to know, you’ll know.

Is it possible, since you grew up in a strict Christian household, that one or both may not be heterosexual and perhaps they feel uncomfortable sharing that information? Obviously this is a rhetorical question and one that you need not answer to a group of internet strangers. Also, as an internet stranger, I have never met them and posing the question is not in any way implying this scenario is or is not the case. Just throwing it out there!

Yeah, the fact that you say xyz and mention your Christian upbringing tells me that perhaps they don't want to discuss their dating life with you.

The fact that you refer to sex as "dating" and xyz suggests to me that they would absolutely not talk to you about this stuff. They are almost certainly dating and sexually active, but I don't know a lot of guys who talk about their sex lives with their younger sisters, let alone younger sisters who can't bring themselves to use the word "sex."

I can’t imagine any man in his 30s who isn’t getting some sort of action.

Girl, if you want to know if they date and have sex, ask them! They likely are.

I should add, I don’t talk about my personal life with family who ask. If we are close enough for you to know details, you’ll know. Keep that in mind.

What is xyz?

I have adult younger brothers who never married and they are approaching their late 30's now, they have NEVER shared their private life with me. I know I may be naive but do you think they "date" or xyz? I am starting to wonder! We grew up in a very strict Christian home so ....
