I don't believe you. This hits all the key words to piss DCUM off.

Fence is the answer, but the question is - you were prepping your lawn for spring? And dethatching in freezing rain?

Make sure it's that dog first. All signs point to it, but you never know.

Then, contact the owner and tell him to pick it up. I had to tell my neighbor this, she was mad, but it never happened again, and I'm still on speaking terms with her.

If it continues, a fence is really the best solution.

Fence. You could get a plastic bag to pick it up and dump it into a pile in his yard.

If after all that you still find poop there, I’d pick it up and leave it on your neighbors front lawn.

This. I was finding trash over my fence from the neighbors teens hanging out outside .soda cans, beer cans, etc. I just threw them back over. Seemed to solve the issue.

The first thing I would do is set up a camera for actual proof.

2. Is there something thorny and unpleasant you can spread around in that area for now? Like holly bush trimmings? (I can offer some from the neighbors' giant holly bush that overhangs my yard...)

3. Time for a nice tall fence.

4. Motion activated sprinkler?

This. Frame it as concern for his dog's health (even if it's not). Hell, pretend to spray chemicals on the lawn if you have to. Or use some kind of repellent: https://www.thespruce.com/use-dog-repellents-2132575.

11:40 again
Also under no circumstances should a pit be off leash off owner's property.

Neighbor is training his do to poop in my side yard.
I was out prepping the lawn for spring and noticed 25 - 30 piles of dog poop.
there is about 50 feet between the houses and all the poop was well into my yard.
I noticed because the poop got into the wheels of my de-thatcher.

Whats the best way to handle this? Neighbor is consistently rude and I'm not wanting to cause a feud.
