What is the background? Is he taking care of the grandparents and you are not? Or, are these your grandparents or do you have different grandparents?

Are you half siblings?

Or full siblings and your grandparents favored your sibling?

Did the grandparents make this decision, perhaps by putting it in trust, with your parents as the inheritors and then your sibling as the remainderman?

Do you have a different set of grandparents?

I'd let this go OP, your parents are treating you and your brother equally with the estate they control, their own.

Why didn't your grandparents give you anything?

why won't you get anything from grandparents? Did they die before you were born (but he was)? Or is this a step/half siblings thing?

In either case, I think it might be nice if it were more fair, but not sure you can do anything about it, so just let it go.

Can you explain what’s going on with the grandparents? What do you mean “his grandfather”?

Why did you receive nothing from your grandparents while your brother received south?

I would tell them that you're hurt, and you hope that they realize how it feels to be on the receiving end of such an unequal distribution. But realize that they probably had nothing to do with the grandparents' distributions, and wanted to keep it as fair as possible themselves. Then try to let it go and move on.

My parents just outlined who will receive what between my brother and I

My brother is set to inherit grandmothers house in SC
In addition to 100K which was passed down to him directly from his grandfather (totally understandable)

My parents will spilt their home 50/50 between myself and him
And and other assets


I’m just venting I guess, because I’m hurt that they wouldn’t have done something around the lines of 70/30
To make up for the fact, I would not receive anything from either grandparents


It hurts because my brother is a careless person and I know that I’ll be the person caring for them when they get older


How do I just let this go and focus on my family?
