Thanks so much for your post. Positive. Cheerful. Helpful. Hard to come across on DCUM so my heartfelt thanks.
However, don’t you find the point system rather ludicrous? Give points for goals and clean sheets?
PP here... we've been to a couple tournaments with this system. Jeff Cup does it too. It's a way to pretty much guarantee there won't be a tie and essentially incorporates what other tournaments do, just as points up front. Most, if not all, tournaments give 3 points W, 1 point T, and 0 for a loss... if there is a tie in a bracket, then it goes to something like goal difference, then goals scored, then goals conceded, and maybe 1 point extra for a shutout. So, this tournament and Jeff Cup put all this right up front. It's all the same and again, almost certainly eliminates any ties because wins/losses/ties, plus goals scored (even for losing sides) add up to your point total. Hope you go!

I find the point awarding system rather phony and tacky.
Anyone partaken in it before?
It is not a bad tournament if you can't get into JefCup but Loudoun is probably a better fit for clubs in the DC suburbs.
Loudoun Soccer’s tournament?
Loudoun showcase.
