+1 love the tacos so use the tortillas quite often. If I want a sandwich I’ll eat bread. Everything in moderation

Saltine crackers (ideally w/out salt) are a helpful substitute. I'll put peanut butter on them. Or use no-calorie "butter" spray and sprinkle sugar & cinnamon for a treat.

It’s all calories but bread and other refined carbs don’t make you feel as full as getting your calories from other places. So if you eat bread you will probably feel hungrier than you do if you eat Greek yogurt instead.

But something to consider is that a lot of the calories from consuming bread often come from what you’re eating it with. A slice of bread is 100 calories, toast with a Pat of butter is 200 calories.

Anyway, I have given up bread in the past and it just made me miss bread more. No thanks. Everything in moderation. You’re not going to feel good if you eat simple carbs all day, so if you just pay attention to how your body feels you’ll just naturally eat fewer simple carbs.

Never gave up bread, but when I try and lose weight, I track calories and I just naturally eat less bread. Less, but never no bread.

I'd sooner die than give up a life with bread.

Reducing carbs helps me lose weight quickly but I am miserable and hungry the whole time and eventually give up and regain the weight. Slow and steady with all foods in moderation has worked better for me.

Also, I don't replace it with gluten free or other substitutes.

When I don't eat bread (and other wheat products) religiously I lose weight. Period. No other intervention needed.

I did whole 30 so no bread for a month and lost a few lbs.

It all comes down to calories. If you eliminate bread and replace it with something else of equal calories it won't matter but if you replace it with say vegetable then sure you will lose weight by reducing calories. In the end I decided that I would rather eat all food in moderation instead of eliminating anything.

I have tried to limit the refined / white carbs and it’s been positive for my weight loss results. I’m not super strict but it went from some type of refined carb at almost every meal to now maybe one portion a few times a week. I actually think it’s been the most impactful change I’ve made.

Eat wraps over standard bread. Replacement was for calories.

And did not have health issues. What were your results? I keep reading about eliminating bread from your diet for health and losing weight.
