Because anyone with more resources isn’t going to get shots up with hormones to get paid to donate eggs, especially if they want their own kids one day.

Keep looking. I didn’t have trouble finding a college educated donor. What’s hard to find is a petit blond donor. Those go instantly.

this - egg donation is for people who need the money, it's not something that an average person with a post secondary degree does for weekend spending money

Women who are college educated have less financial incentive to go through the unpleasant process of egg donation.

Agencies have more options, but come at a cost.

My clinic only allowed two egg banks: CCRM and Fairfax. Fairfax definitely had more donors with higher levels of education than CCRM did (at least when I was looking).

This may be the case. Sperm banks do not independently verify the information that donors provide. I don’t know if they scrutinize egg donors more carefully.

This is the PP again. If you are set on staying here and have $$$ then there are banks that specialize in highly educated donors. I came across Golden Egg (LOL!) via a Google search before: https://goldeneggdonation.com/beautiful-intelligent-egg-donors
I am sure that there are others which are similar.
Also as another poster mentioned, direct recruitment on the campuses of elite schools is common. On the Columbia campus 17 years ago I used to see flyers from the intended parents offering many thousands of dollars to young women who fit very specific profiles including but not limited to height, weight, health status, ethnicity, major field of study, GPA, SAT scores, sports, musical ability, hair texture... any and everything!

Feel like the egg donors in Czech Republic are often university students. For donor egg this is a great option. Travel will change sometime in the next year, we won’t be stuck in COVID restrictions forever. The cost difference is amazing.

For eggs, they want/need the mom to be young. So often they will be in college.

Yep, they recruit very heavily on college campuses. My college daily newspaper was full of ads for egg donors.

True, but many of the donors I see are outside of the typical college age-range (24-27). Also, many state High School or Trade School as education level.
