I am also not getting pushed into expensive treatments where I have a very low likelihood of success, as I strongly suspect I would be at a private clinic, because there is a lot less profit motivation. Plus the bedside manner is great, and even if I can't get ahold of Dr. Humm as easily as I might like, her nurse is very responsive and exceedingly caring. Given that you are young and dealing with MF, you might not need the super aggressive approaches at private clinics.

I was with Dr Humm and GW and now at SG with Dr. Devine. SG is cheaper. As far as care, I also am getting far better and more personalized care, but obviously everyone is different. Happy to provide details.

We had a great experience with Dr Waud at Dominion and they never treated me like I was old, even though I am (41).

SGF sucks for younger women too if they think your eggs are crap. I was 37 when I went there and they tried to push me to donor eggs (genetic issue with my own gave me low odds of success). Went to CFA. Love Dr. Abbasi. Twins from my own eggs in my first and only IVF cycle.

Actually 37 is in the age range SGF stated to give up on. I think they just worry about their stats being down.

Huh. I got pregnant via IVF at SG at 37, and no one treated me as old. But, my issue was PCOS, and they seem to have lots of success with that.

No one person here can say which labs are "best." There are reasons for relatively higher live birth rates besides lab quality. Furthermore, there are no regulations mandating labs report accidents or errors. That should change. Fertility centers' claims in ads and social media are overstated and in some cases false.

Depends on your issues. 3 months is not that long. Are your periods very regular?

I agree with PP that you should not expect warm fuzzies. This was hard for me. I felt that I was already pretty depressed and I was looking for warmth and help. I got the pregnancy, but not the compassion.

Shady grove. I’ve been to dominion, Columbia and shady grove. No warm fuzzies but the labs are the BEST.

Which doctor would you recommend and why?

Thinking of doing IVF.
