LL Bean slip ons lined with wool.

OP here, I'm thinking the wool ones might be the way to go. I considered some Clarks mules but they may feel too heavy for indoors.

The Stegmann clogs are nice. I have leather ones I wear outside, but they make felt clogs you can use inside. Good support, too.

But in winter I need wool slippers and I get the expensive German ones with the rubber soles, e.g. Haflinger

I agree with Crocs. They’re very supportive, they were designed for people with foot problems.

I wear Haflingers. I have flat feet so I need something that will support my feet. I love that they have a firm sole and the wool footbed doesn’t take on odors.

I have Ugg moccasins that have really nice tread, support and are very warm.

Do the socks make them fit snug and so stay on well?

I’ve never noticed a problem with slipping, but haven’t noticed it with regular slippers either. My main issue with regular slippers was sweating/smell.

Im trying to figure out a good alternative house slipper to an actual house slipper.

Ive tried the fabric slip on stretch type shoes, but those always end up smelling! I never have this problem with any other shoe, not sneakers, not boots, and my feet never smell. Its only those stretchy elastic fabric slip on shoes that do this.

So those are out. Which is too bad, because they feel great and stay put.

I have a house with two flights of stairs that I traverse a lot, and I find that memory foam slip ons always feel like they are about to fall off.

I dont want anything too bulky.

I feel like maybe a flat leather slip on with a good sole might be an option.

Anyone found a good alternative? It needs to be easy on/off because I also need to be able to slip on garden clogs at the back door to go outslde and fill bird feeders, let dog out, etc.
