Maybe you are not aware that if you let a cavity get out of control with a very young child they need literal general anaesthesia to treat? Or if you're "lucky" and its a front tooth they will offer to pull it. Or you can take your kid to the dentist at their 1st birthday which is recommended.

Anonymous wrote:SDF isn’t a filling - it’s a liquid applied topically to stop the decay from progressing. It won’t hurt, it can only help. I’d do it.

The dentist isn’t even positive that it is a cavity. He even said it’s in a weird spot for a cavity, so it may be a tooth defect. It’s a tooth coloured hole in the very middle of his second right top tooth. I’m not sure if I should do the treatment, especially since the doctor doesn’t know what the hole is. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Get a second opinion! When my dd was two the dentist told me she had lots of cavities etc but, I got a second opinion and the second dentist didn't agree. Never went back to the first. Five years later they contacted me! So, that told me enough.
