I don't like ours either. No one can pronounce it, even in our country of origin people get it wrong all the time.

And no one ever said my first name correctly anyway, so now I have a first name and a last name that flummox people.

My DH's name, spoken over the phone, can sound a lot like a very famous actor. We've had a range of outright confusion, a hang up from a host thinking it was a prank call, and disappointment when we nobodies showed up.

I was happy to change my name. My original name was hard to enunciate. I would change my name regardless. I don't want my kids to have a different last name than me.

Me either. I struggled with changing my name and still use my maiden name professionally. I also found it odd to change my name years after starting a career.

Changing your last name is outdated, imo. I’m not my husband’s property, I have my own name. Honestly though OP no one cares.

Same. I also am attached to my own last name it as it’s been with me since birth. I kept my maiden name (outdated term!), but our child carries his name. That was important to both of us.
