I was just now reflecting that many people are probably angrier that Christmas packages are delayed than about mail-in ballots coming too late to be counted

Trump even manages to ruin Christmas.

If you wanted to run USPS in the ground, the best possible way is to sabotage their package delivery during Christmas, the highest margin market segment.

Yep. I have something I ordered December 1st that was awaiting USPS pick up or something by the 4th and remained that way for two weeks. Just starting to make its way to the next destination, whatever that means.

USPS has been posting advisories in its delivery digest for at least a week.

Am I crazy or has this whole debacle strongly demonstrated how valuable a functional USPS is? It seems like maybe Trump and his I'll didn't think this one through.

I had a strange problem with USPS this week. I tried to hold the mail for my business for two weeks. Site wouldn't process it. I've done it many times in the past.

This is Trump's war on Christmas.

USPS is overwhelmed and backlogged because of COVID cases, unprecedented volume, and, of course, DeJoy’s cuts to costs and service. Messing with the election wasn’t enough. He thwarted our packages too.
