Well, I trust Bose on that count.

It isn’t noise, BTW. It’s fairly soft white noise.

? You don’t think white noise is noise?

I’m not going to debate this with you. If you want to argue they cause hearing damage, then don’t buy them.

Ahhh. You’re one of those. Carry on. Or should I say CARRY ON!

Huh?

DH snores SUPER loudly and after a particularly bad night on Saturday night, he decided to get me an early Christmas present.

These are Bose earbuds that connect to an app that plays various sorts of white noise, meant not only to block out sound, but also keep you asleep and promote good sleep cycles. You can also set alarms for various days and customize the noise that the alarm plays.

I kid you not that I have *never* woken up so refreshed as I did this morning. I had been using regular earplugs, but they just didn’t do the trick. DH’s snoring would wake me up anyway and I wouldn’t be able to fall back asleep.

These things aren’t cheap at $300–especially for a single-use product—but you can’t put a price on a good night’s sleep! If you’re someone who really struggles to sleep, I seriously recommend these things.

Note: Apparently the first-gen version of these had inconsistent battery life, but these are supposed to have much better battery life.

Has he gone for a sleep study?

Oh no, sorry — I meant single-use in that you can’t use them to listen to music. They’re purely for sleeping.

Should’ve clarified that.

I do want to note that, of course, you can use them to sleep anywhere, so you can bring them on a plane or a train and I imagine they’d work well in those environments.

Nope! They’re very small. I was skeptical about wearing earbuds all night and having noise playing, but it really is relaxing.
