Why would Stokes voluntarily give up their feed to DCI? I don’t see on what grounds DCI could kick them out as a feeder school.

+1. It would be beneficial to DCI if Stokes left the fender pattern, especially the French track.

Right, my understanding is that DCI only has enough space for the five feeders at their original pre-expansion capacities. So the Stokes middle school wouldn't be competing with DCI, it would supplement.

I don’t foresee them being allowed to continue the relationship with DCI with their own middle school, which then means DCI wouldn’t have a French feeder. It’s possible DCI will drop French as a result.

My guess would be Brookland would continue to primarily feed to DCI and EE primarily to the new middle school. But perhaps not.


That would not be a good look.

My guess would be Brookland would continue to primarily feed to DCI and EE primarily to the new middle school. But perhaps not.

There simply isn’t going enough room at DCI for everyone from the feeders very soon. FAmilies have been hoping for DCI to expand/acquire a new bldg etc but it hasn’t happened and the crunch years are approaching.

Is there any reason to think that DCI would drop French? Based on only one school/one class feeding into it each year currently, I'm guessing it's the smallest program in the school.

Whoa! I wonder what this means for their relationship with DCI, or if maybe this is a result of a strained relationship with them? I also wonder what this means for the future of the French program at DCI.

Stokes just officially announced that they have begun planning for a new Stokes Middle School to be located at or near the East End Campus. Targeted to open in three years, when first EE 5th graders graduate. I wonder if other DCI feeders that will go their own way as well when they expand.
