Just chiming in to say my wonderfully healthy perfect-chromosome 1-y/o was a mosaic baby conceived via IUI so we obviously didn’t know it in advance, only found out because the NIPT was wrong. A lot of angst and anxiety for nothing. I was told by the NIPT company that they’re finding out mosaicism is much more common than they ever knew prior to that kind of testing.

Center for Human Reproduction in NYC I believe. They publish lots of blogs and white papers on the topic as well

Second the recommendation for the My Perfect Mosaic group on FB. It's much more active than any mosaic thread on here, and people have a lot more real world experience in transferring mosaics.

Generally I believe so.

I am reviving this thread to see if anyone else has had experience transferring a mosaic embryo and what clinics would do that. I have a low level mosaic. Do you have to exhaust all of your normal embryos first?

OP here. Thanks for the suggestions of CFA. I will contact them. The abnormality seems to be on Chromosome 10 for what it's worth. Also, encouragement very welcome thank you!

I've just went through my second IVF cycle and had 3 embryos. 2 were abnormal and 1 was a low level mosaic. Two questions:
1) Does anyone know of a clinic in the area that will transfer the mosaic (SGF is current clinic and they will not, although there are apparently internal debates in SGF system about this)
2) Does anyone know of a genetic counselor/RE that I could talk with about risks of this transfer and odds of viable pregnancy.

CFA is the only one I know of. There is a Facebook group called my perfect mosaic that has a bunch of information and some recommended genetic counselors. The ones from the testing companies will not be helpful.

Are you having a boy or a girl? Well...a chimera.

Not sure, but wanted to say that I have a friend that had a healthy baby from a mosaic embryo. It self corrected and genetic testing came back totally clear. Just a bit of encouragement. Good luck.

My doctor at CFA told me I could transfer my mosaic-- BUT, it depends on the specific chromosomes involved. Basically, if mine turns out abnormal, it wouldn't result in a live birth. If there's a possibility for live birth with chromosomal abnormality, I don't think CFA would transfer it.
