New poster here.

I would assume that. If the staff speaks Spanish AND English (and maybe some also speak Farsi, Korean, Polish, etc.) I would expect the ad to say "multi lingual staff."

Spanish is the absolute second-most common language spoken in the US, it makes sense simply to list Spanish. Chinese, by the way, follows Spanish but it is a distant third place.

Not once did I read this listing as suggesting the staff only spoke Spanish. And I have no idea why the OP is so worked up over it. (Well I do but.)

1600. Overpriced. LOL.

If you're a renter who is shocked by that price you shouldn't act so uppity.

The same type of code as "Neighborhood in transition" ?

Meaning people color are gradually being priced out.

They probably have a large immigrant population living there. If that’s not for you, then move someplace else.

Well I guess it is safe to assume the type of people renting out these types of places view immigrants as being beneath them and their clientele feel that way as well.

With the number of expats working here at World Bank, embassies, and other international organizations, perhaps with partners/kids who are still learning English, I could totally see this being an amenity.

I think at that rent it's probably a signal that a spanish speaking tenant is the likely renter.

Huh? If English isn't someone's first language, and Spanish is, that would make the place more attractive to them. What is your issue?

What?

I think you can safely assume they speak both Spanish and English.
