Well I am so glad that the preferences of 40% of families is not being disregarded. Especially since the other 60% get their preference either way, and have been getting their preference all along. 40% of 80K students is still a lot of students, and they matter too. I'm glad the school board does not agree with you that its not enough to bother with.

Thank you. Yes division wide DL is 59%. Not 70.

Again, that number is different now. It accounts for 10% no response. Those families have been contacted to make sure they verbally made a selection if they never accessed pvue.

They didn’t ALL choose DL.

But the majority did. We just had elections. Dont know how simple majority works?

You’ve yet to provide any proof to this, and wasn’t true at our two schools. Why do you care? Oh, let me guess. Secondary teacher who is “terrified” to return Jan 4 and can’t believe she has to because of “only” 40% of students. Am I close?

That wasn’t me . I’m a teacher. I am going in hybrid. I am saying some students DID switch when we made contact because their parents didn’t want hybrid but that was the default. They didn’t know how to access pvue in some cases. So a good number of that 10% non response did pick DL. I honestly have no agenda here. Just telling you the stats, how they have changed, and how many students I have coming in the building (not many).

Some of us chose DL because the concurrent/hybrid model sucks. Would've gladly chosen regular/in-person learning versus this DL crap.

Sorry, typo at the end- I have 3 classes with only 1 kid. 3 with 3 kids. 2 with 2 kids. One with 6, one with 0.

Also, I’m in the Open LCPS group and many of them chose DL but would have absolutely chosen 4-5 days in person instead of that had been an option.

What’s your source for 60/40?

The second semester choice data says it’s 69/31 DL to hybrid. Some of the hybrid in that initial 31% was default because parents didn’t respond. Schools have been contacting non response families and manually changing the selection if they want so they data is likely different than the initial survey results

My sister is a teacher in LCPS and said on the 10th they get a report about how many of her students chose hybrid and how many chose DL for Q3 & Q4.

I’m eager to know those numbers! I also look forward to verifying those claims about the district going 30% in-person and 70% virtual.
