A shutdown or a quarantine are not caused by an outbreak, they are meant to prevent it. If you have a single case, you are asked to shut down or quarantine the individual classroom, so an outbreak won't happen. Our center has had a couple of classroom shutdowns, but no outbreaks so far. It's a testament to the effectiveness of the preventive measures.

I pray that my kid daycare could survive this winter without any covid outbreak leading to shut down or quarantine. When spring comes, weather is a little warmer, and and hopefully covid can be sort of under controlled in dmv area with more people get vaccinated & keep masks on.
