Nope. I found out right now. Have never tipped a paid delivery.

Nope, no tip for that.

+1. The tipping complex is out of control in this country. You didn't do anything wrong, OP. You don't need to tip furniture/appliance deliverers.

This. I also don’t tip on carryout, or Starbucks or Panera. WTAF.

What about an appliance like a dishwasher or range which the men bring in and install (and you pay $200 installation for). Do you tip them? I would hope they're getting paid a decent wage.

I just ordered a peloton and I am seeing comments about tipping these delivery people as well

I don’t usually tip but the big stores send an email asking how they did and I do take the time to give them a good review.

Yeah if I pay for "white glove" delivery service of $250, I'm not going to tip

A tip is VOLUNTARY.

I didn't tip my washing machine delivery people, because they left before I could put the bills in their hands. I didn't tip the nice people who helped me load up at IKEA because again, they didn't seem to expect anything and they left before I could give them anything.

Unlike waitressing, I don't think there's a hard expectation for other professions.

Furniture/appliance delivery drivers? I'm sort of mortified! Luckily I am a relatively new homeowner and have only gotten a couple of things delivered "in person" (either had stuff shipped/picked it up and assembled myself).
