Basically this. i was going to sat Winnetka. Nicest suburbs in the entire country.

Whitefish Bay; what makes it especially nice is that while it's definitely got pockets of $$$$$$ it's still pretty accessible to more normal income families.

I like Westlake Village California too - but it's very different than the east coast suburbs.

I am partial to the Palos Verdes peninsula area. You cannot beat the hilly-with-ocean-views.
