DC2 does all of her naps in the swing. She is sleep trained for nights in the crib, so can fall asleep on her own there, but has yet to nap in the crib in the daytime...so there would have to be some nap training and mild (hopefully) cry/fuss it out. Her swing naps are a good length.
With DC1, I remember that nap training took a week or two, but then we were in a weird period until he could consolidate naps, moving from 4 to 3 naps--basically one 1.5 hour morning nap and 3 45 minute naps until he was 5.5 months. He was okay but often tired b/c of all of the short naps. I do remember nap training also being kind of a pain.
I'm lazy. (Or more like, tired from having kids and beginning to work without childcare) The swing is working, it's so easy...but I guess she'll start rolling soon and then I should really get her out of the swing, and crib naps are supposed to be better, more restorative naps. I should nap train her, huh? (Basically I need help to get off my butt!) But part of me is just tempted to wait another 6 weeks or so, until she's closer to having a more solid, consolidated afternoon nap.
