No I don’t to strangers. My kid has taken the bus with me, she has heard it all.

I am a pretty consistent profanity user. G-d, fck, mo-fo, but I also hold doors. Offer to walk people to theirs cars with my umbrella if they dont have one. Bring my older neighbors trash can onto her porch most weeks. My almost 3 year is very polite kid. He consistently says thank you, bless you, youre welcome, thank you for helping me, etc.

I assume I am judged by people like yourself who think its rude, but it is my vice of choice and at the end of the day, it doesnt endanger anyone.

This is what I would do. It's part of their job. They also have the office phone to call police if he gets violent.

To strangers, no. Wish I had the guts but I always figure someone who cares that little will just escalate and that won't help.

To my parents, yes. At least once a month a reminder to please not curse out the president around the kids. I've no problem with the sentiments, just want more appropriate language around a 3 and 6 year old!

Of course not.

It isn't their job to raise your kid. Not every space is kid friendly.

If it really bothered me, I would have said, "excuse me, there are little ears in here!". I've done it a few times before people don't mind. People forget about kids and what they need if they don't have them.

I would leave with the kid and stand in the hall

They are just words. If you don't want your child to use them, don't use them and correct them when he does. It's the same as any other parenting issue. You can't control other people.

My child repeats everything he hears, so I just pulled him close and started chatting away about inane things he’s excited about so that his attention would be focused on Spider-Man/lunchables/his toy. The guy wouldn’t quit and nobody else seemed bothered that children were listening. Would you say something?
