The footprint is very small, and there is no smell. You'll be fine.
I'd think the footprint (with a mat underneath) is no more than 3 x 6.

We have ours in our condo bedroom. We have a mat made for fitness equipment under it, which mitigates noise, but honestly there’s not really much impact on the floor while you ride. We keep a container of cleaning wipes next to the bike and do a wipe down after every ride, and usually also do a spritz of room freshener. Never noticed a lasting smell, and we both use it most days.

Thank you! As for the noise - do you think people upstairs, downstairs, or next door would be able to hear it or be annoyed by it? Not worried about SO, and bike would likely go on 'outside' wall of unit vs. next to someone else's condo.
I think that depends on the quality and soundproofing of your building. I can stand outside my condo door (and have) to listen for my television blasting away in the living room and can't hear anything unless my ear is pressed to the front door. I rarely if ever hear anything from my neighbors.
I do think if you got something like the Peloton Tread - the impact would lead to noise problems. But the bike doesn't have high impact ratios because you're balanced in the air instead constantly having footfalls or bodyfalls on the floor.

Subject: Peloton in an apartment?
I live in a 1BR condo with a largish bedroom. Interested in a Peloton, but unsure if this would work with my space - thinking it could go in a corner of the bedroom, but don't want my room to smell like a gym 24/7. Also concerned about any noise the bike may make. Anyone in a similar situation and have one? How have you made it work?
