Finding uncrowded playgrounds is much better. If kids can space out, no masks needed. Go at times they are not crowded.

Try the one at the Fairhill ES. The few times we've been everyone was wearing a mask.

Go for a hike. Ride scooters. Ride a balance bike.

All of these are ways to burn energy without sharing playground equipment with random multiple families with varying levels of COVID precaution adherence. And certainly not by widening your exposure net by playground-hopping.

Yep, it sucks to not be able to frequent the playground. This is reality.

Just stick with smaller playgrounds in your neighborhood probably, where you can be the only ones there. With the weather getting cooler they’ll probably be empty soon anyway.

I don't know, OP. I'm in Arlington and people aren't wearing them here either. I thought once cases started rising, people would. Maybe people are wearing them at the DC and Maryland playgrounds?

We went to a few in Bethesda. No one had a mask on. Quickly returned to our DC city "hellhole" playground where everyone wears masks and squirts sanitizer on their kids hands.

We don’t have any cooties. We don’t go anywhere and have been to three playgrounds maybe a total of 5 times from March until now. My preschooler needs to burn off some energy and I’m looking to do it in a safe way.

Why would you "travel" to playgrounds in the midst of a pandemic? You do realize that cases are rising in VA, MD and DC. Please keep your cooties in your own neighborhood.
