If we all don't do our part, our schools won't open for this school year. Yet this break out is among a group who wants to return. I want to return but this type of behavior is delaying what 70% of us want, in-person school.

Take care at the playgrounds. Stay safe; wear a mask and please remind your kids to do the same. Thank you.

Most of the families that I know who want to return also don't believe covid is a huge deal, and that since the vast vast majority of kids recover with no issues that it isn't something to stop life. They also are families that haven't focused on self-isolating or at least keeping a very very small bubble. I don't know what school OP is referencing, but our kids attend one of them and my statements here are based only on what I see on social media and in our neighborhood and local parks.

Why would “schools” close due to a supposed outbreak among students at one school? You imply that Halloween had something to do with this. Was there an indoor party? You seem to know this group well.

So DL is contributing to the spread of COVID? That’s a new talking point for Open Schools Now. Good luck with that one.

But they’re not open so this doesn’t matter at all. What is your point? Maybe if they had been in school they wouldn’t have to socialize outside of school.

I do see a lot of kids at Jamestown playing group sports with no masks And on the playground with no masks.

Based on Nottingham and Jamestown playgrounds it could easily be either.

source? indoor or outdoor halloween party? I certainly haven't seen any references to this on the usual suspect sources (e.g. MONA, AEM, school facebook page etc.)

If schools were open, they would close today as there's a local ES with a bunch of kids who have a post-Halloween case of the Covid.
