I occasionally see people twirling hula hoops around in parks. Saw a woman teach a kiddie course in Lincoln Park a couple of weeks ago. Pre-pandemic, common to see hoopers at the drum circle in Meridian Hill Park. Surprised there isn't a boutique studio offering classes.

Curious to know if there are any hoopers in the DCUM commentariat. I'm just getting started, trying to teach myself with YouTube videos. Improvement is marginal, but even just waist hooping and "dancing" with the hoop in my hands feels like a great workout. Happy to hear your stories. I ordered a 36" polypro online and plan to add different sizes -- would love to support a local business that makes hoops if you know of any.
