It was actually better than I expected - my dinosaur loving 3 and 5 year old were captivated the whole time and I learned some new things from the audio. It helped that we had the sunroof open and the 5 year old stuck her head out the top for a lot of it. My 3 year old was a little too wary of the “scary” dinosaurs to want his window open.

We went this week and it was a good way to kill an hour in COVID times. Nothing spectacular but the kids enjoyed it. We didn’t really have a wait to get in though.

Didn’t go, but to me sounds like utter misery.

No. You are just sitting in your car. We went at 2PM last Sunday, and we were in line a good 30-40 minutes before we ever saw the first dinosaur. Even in the exhibit, the line moved very slowly. From the time we got there until the time we left, it was 1.5 hours.
Also, the website indicated that there were restrooms available both before and after the drive-through portion. We saw nothing before entry, and there were just a handful of porta potties at the exit. So be prepared.

Ugh I got a ticket for next week but am now second guessing this. For those who have gone, is there anything to see while you are waiting or are you really just sitting in the car? Can you listen to the audio to pass the time or is the wait outside of everything?

DH took the kids and they waited 45 minutes just to get in. BUT they absolutely loved it and are still talking about it. The audio you can play in your car to learn about the dinosaurs was a nice touch.

A bunch of my friends said the wait in traffic was terrible.

Grandpa took my 4 yo down here in Richmond a couple weeks ago. It took about 35 min and Grandpa said it was perfect for 4 but probably not any older or younger. DS came home with some cool schwag (poster, Dino toys) and has spent the past two weeks with a renewed interest in dinosaurs. I’m glad I personally didn’t have to go, lol.

Same here. 5yo DD is obsessed with dinosaurs, but she lost interest 20 minutes in. Not worth the money or the time it took us to get to RFK (we live out in the suburbs).

I watched videos on YouTube and decided against it. Looked boring. They really are just lined up in a parking lot for you to drive past.
