No, but my in-laws do. Sometimes my nieces or nephew hit it to announce dinner.

My parents had a dinner bell, too!

We have a bell. My brother and sister have gongs. We use it to let everyone know it's time to wash up and set the table. Dinner will be ready imminently. Our father started the tradition. He blew a conch shell to announce dinner when we were growing up.

Yes, we have one. Maybe a couple of times a month? Used to do it more when we first got it and an invitation to dinner. Love it, though!

My friend's parents had a gong in their house/porch area growing up. There was a race to ring it every time Penn State scored a touchdown.

Gong, no, but we have drum kit and many accessories. A gong might be fun.

My friend's mother has a small one. She's hilarious and rings it at parties. She brought it to my friend's wedding, too.

If so, how often/when do you strike it?
