Thanks. Dont know why I cant access it. Maybe it's my phone. Will assume if we haven't been contacted then we aren't in the cohort.

Like all of the other schools, COVID isn't going to be 100% walled off. It is how the institution, in this case, Sidwell, deals with it.

If the cohort has been notified and they are all quarantining, then it is fine.

I didn't even know Sidwell had a dashboard. My bad. But there should be contacting of classmates which hasn't happened.

And to the helpful {rather than just contacting the school, you are going to act upon a “reliable source” and an anonymous message board?} poster, i heard about this yesterday and the school was already closed. So f off.

First I heard of this new case is here. Irritating that the school did not notify us and just slipped it into the dashboard. I hope the other parents in that kid’s classrooms got notified. And let’s hope the kid did not pass anyone in the hallway or bathrooms.

What is going on?

SFS has reported all cases up to now. Not sure your reliable source is that reliable.

I think several schools are closing the week after Thanksgiving. Some will even do testing in early Dec before allowing students to return.

Holton is only going to DL the week after Thanksgiving, then back in-person, to allow for the post-Thanksgiving schoolwide COVID testing to happen that week. Decision was made since it’s expected that families and/or teachers may travel or have visitors for Thanksgiving, and this allows 1) compliance with MD law re post-travel testing and if necessary quarantine, and 2) time to ensure safe testing.

Maybe the student was hybrid and wasn't on campus?

Heard from a reliable source that there is a positive case at SFS but we've haven't been notified by the school. Am I supposed to send my DC to school or not? Quarantine? Meanwhile I see on this site that other schools email their community, quarantine cohorts and discuss mitigation procedures.
